Our College Botany Lab is well equipped for undergraduate students to perform various Botany practicals which are necessary for the study of the structure, properties, plants diseases, biochemical processes of all forms of plant life as well as plant classification and the interactions of plants with their physical environment. The laboratory is spacious, well ventilated and is equipped with the necessary instruments such as microscopes, compound microscopes, spectrophotometer, calorimeter, centrifuge machine, autoclave, respirometer, botanical charts and specimens. Our Botany Laboratory has several preserved plant specimens for studying botanical names and a botanical garden for their study and identification. Botany Laboratory contains various experimental instruments to study the sectioning of plants, centrifugal process and physiological experiments like transpiration, Oxygen evolution and seed germination. The exclusive experiments are carried out by using equipments like Ganong’s Photometer, Clinical and Ultra Centrifuges, Our Laboratory also possesses many types of important Medicinal Plant products. For the preparation and storage of herbarium of common and exclusive plants a separate place is maintained. Live practical’s are performed by the Lecturers along with the students.
